SINGLE LEAF ASH
Franxinux anomala

Single Leaf Ash is the only Ash with single, not compound, leaves.
The tree has multiple trunks, is typically 8-14 feet tall, and is found near washes and in rocky areas. Tree tends to become more upright and elliptical in form.
Commonly found in the draws and canyons of western Colorado and southern Utah where more water will collect because of run off or storm events. No observed pests in its native habitat. This tree is good in xeric landscapes because it is tolerant of heat, drought and high pH soils.
